Mako Nami 2.1 Wetsuit

Our Nami 2.1 wetsuits benefit from several of the technical advantages and improvements validated over the last few yearson our top of the range models. The inside is entirely laminated with lycra for extra comfort and the Nami and Naiad are equipped with our Power Stretch panel on the chest which gives unparalleled freedom of movement. The suits’ neoprene outer is 100% Yamamoto #39, making them both lighter (thus more buoyant) and more supple than other wetsuits at this price point. The aim of these models is to offer the best value for money possible whilst offering incredible performance.

Features:

– Neck: The neck is cut low from 1.5mm Yamamoto#39 SCS neoprene to avoid skin irritations and uncomfortable compression.
– Chest and Upper legs: 5mm Yamamoto #39 S-skin neoprene allows for excellent buoyancy and glide through the water, with a 2mm #39 S-skin Power stretch panel on the torso.
– Arms and shoulders: Very supple 1.5mm Yamamoto #39 SCS outer and stretch jersey inner means this suit allows complete freedom of movement.
– Back: 3mm Yamamoto #39 S-skin neoprene with an invisible zip leading for better hydrodynamics and less water entry. The zip is mounted toclose bottom to top to make solo closing easier. – Wrists: High-cut wrists makes for extra-fast transitions.
– Lower leg and upper back : Ultra supple 3mmYamamoto #39 S-Skin neoprene. Ankles are high cut for lightening fast transitions.
– Inner Jersey: Lycra inner jersey laminated through the body, legs and arm pieces for greater comfort and quicker transitions.

– invisiZip : our invisible zip system allows our suits to have great hydrodynamics and also reduces water entry, keeping you warmer.
– SCS : this is a surface layer that both protects the neoprene and reduces drag through water.
– Low cut collar : our collars are cut extra low to avoid chaffing and any possibility of feeling strangled.
– Power Stretch: This highly elastic neoprene insert, that is positioned over the sternum and diaphragm, allows for liberated breathing as well as increased suppleness over the whole upper body.
– Balanced Buoyancy : the buoyancy has been placed in our wetsuits so as to facilitate your stroke by offering you the body position that is most suited to your swim technique. So in our range you will find wetsuits that have been designed to maintain you in a “Natural” position for those that prefer a neutral body placement (often good for those with a strong leg kick) and others that we have labelled “Extra support” for those that prefer to have a little extra hip and leg buoyancy (good for those with a weak/ lazy kick or for long-distance races.)
– MAX movement Shoulders : the cut and materials have been chosen to offer complete freedom of movement to the shoulders. From our very first patterns in 2008 we utilised a panel under the arms which was mounted to be “at rest” with a position of the arms above the head. This means that you never have to stretch the rubber as you reach to catch the water in front, thus not expending extra effort. The neoprene works for and not against you!
